An ongoing project for the Asheville community - stay tuned for details of our next gathering/ community event
We invite you to join us in the new year, at a community space in the River Arts District- where a “Living Tapestry” has been taking shape since May 18, 2025. Together we will create Messages of Light - writing words of release, recognition, joy, grief, hope and resilience onto colorful, upcycled fabric strips in the studio. In the afternoon, we will weave them onto a fence near the River - in the RAD- bringing softness and color to the element of metal - thereby connecting the threads of our stories and sharing our collective capacity for resilience and hope.

This Living Tapestry is located on a fence in the Garden of Grief & Joy, founded by Kristie Beth Ihde of Enspiraré.
Just as beams of sunlight are made up of the spectrum all the colors we see in a rainbow, so too our human experience is composed of a full spectrum of emotions. When we love deeply it is always inevitably connected to sorrow, loss and longing. And though we may feel despair at times, the thread of hope remains ever-present within the human heart. To be fully alive in this world, is to flow between the colors of all emotions. And by giving recognition to hope, joy and grief in community, we find out that we are not alone; that at our core, we are all deeply connected.
