We believe in HOPE and in the power of lifting each other up in community.

On Friday 9/27, about two thirds of the River Arts District became submerged under water, when the French Broad River and its’ tributaries spilled over into surrounding areas during Helene. Like many other spaces in district, ArtPlay was flooded and destroyed. Our hearts ache for those in our community who continue to be impacted by the devastation.

A small bit of good news is that we were able to remove 95% of the gallery art just in time, before the storm hit. In the coming weeks & months we will be supporting our artists -many of whom lost their working studios- via our on-line gallery. A portion of those proceeds will go to RADA foundation for disaster recovery & rebuilding.

As basics like water and power are restored, we will be finding ways for people to be together in community- to connect, to lift one another up and share hope. We will be sharing updates here as we heal and re-imagine the way forward together.

PLEASE STAY SAFE
