HELENE RECOVERY

On Friday 9/27/24, about three fourths of the River Arts District became submerged under water, when the French Broad River and its’ tributaries spilled over into surrounding areas during Helene. Like many other spaces in district, ArtPlay was flooded and destroyed.

A small bit of good news is that we were able to remove 95% of the gallery art just in time, before the storm hit. We lost 100% of our art supplies, our space, and all of the furniture and contents within.

Your support in purchasing art works - via our on-line gallery helps us greatly as we continue to recover and rebuild - and helps local artists from the River Arts District of Asheville. Thank you!
