Have you ever been curious about the mysterious images that shadows cast? Did you know that shadows can create gorgeous and fun silhouettes from which to draw, paint and experiment with art tools?
In this three hour Saturday evening of creative community, local artist Miranda Wildman will guide you in the process of creating art using candle-lit shadows as your muse!
You will use botanicals as your inspiration, and then watch the magic with shadow and light unfold. Miranda will invite you you play & experiment with watercolor paints, pencils, and water-soluable pencils on mixed media paper to create loose images of botanicals and /or abstract art.
At the end of the class you will have a new strategy for the creation of joyful art -making, and some unique pieces to bring home.
Note: finished pieces can also be delightful framed or they could be the perfect greetings to send in the mail to loved ones.
All materials are provided. No experience is needed!
