Mixed Media Layering in the Sketchbook: Sunday 6/09: 2:00-5:00pm w/ local artist Harper Leich

Join local artist Harper Leich for this class designed to inspire you to begin and maintain your own sketchbook practice, where you will build up your art-making skills, your knowledge of what you love, and your confidence over time. The best part of a sketchbook is the feeling of play and experimentation that it can bring- there’s no place for perfection here!! 

In this class, Mixed Media Layering in the Sketchbook, we will play with layering materials to build up the pages of our sketchbooks in fun and creative ways.  We’ll break out the gold leaf, acrylic paint pens, colored pencils, ink, and more!  If you do a lot of pencil or pen drawings, or if you feel like you’re stuck in the same creative loop over and over again, experimenting with different materials might help you to break through some creative blocks and not be too precious with your pages. 

All levels welcome!

A light snack & sparkling water will be served mid-way through the class.

NOTE: If you already have a mixed media sketchbook, please bring this with you. If you would like to purchase one on the day of class, nice quality 8.5 x 8.5 sketchbooks by “Handbook” are available for purchase in the studio for $20.
