The ATELIER at ArtPlay is a brand new offering designed to support your creative process within a circle of community, held in a dedicated time and space for curiosity, play and experimentation. It is neither a traditional class nor an open studio, but a gently guided creative experience.
In particular, this session is for those who:
Recently attended the Art Journal workshop with Katrina Shoemaker and want more exploration time, playing within your newly created journal - OR-
Already have an art journal and would like some support and inspiration for exploring new approaches and materials within your journal.
This three-hour creative immersion is designed to allow for an extended period for intentional play with mixed media materials—especially the layering of collage papers within your journal, and the creation of gelli-prints. Guidance will be shared in an organic, collaborative way, including support and demos from a few participants of Katrina’s recent workshop.
You will bring your own journal with you, but all other materials will be provided by ArtPlay. If you have some favorite supplies you’d like to bring- you are welcome to do so.
NOTE: We will likely offer a second Art Journal ATELIER in May!
