Come Celebrate with Us

Join us for RAD Resilience Day at Cotton Mill Studios on September 12 for a celebration of art, community, and the River Arts District’s resilience. Explore open studios and galleries featuring Ochre Rose Gallery’s local artists Elizabeth Porritt Carrington, Amanda McLenon, and Kelcey Loomer, with artwork connected by themes of nature, wildlife, storytelling, and luminous imagery, plus a live river painting from 11-1. Discover Amanda McLenon’s bird paintings and Jonathan Bidwell’s contemporary realism at Asheville Fine Art Gallery, new work and a raffle at Linsey Gray’s studio, Alison Press’s flood-inspired The River Breached series, and handcrafted jewelry by Diane McEachen of Bleu Pansy Jewelry. Get creative at ArtPlay with hands-on, collaborative art-making and “Turning the Page on Helene” community art project led by Kendra Hamman.

Enjoy refreshments throughout the day, with studios and galleries offering extended hours to explore, connect, and celebrate the RAD’s next chapter.
