Spirit of The Woods; Polymer Clay Greenman Sculpture & Painting Series PART I: Sunday 10/12 with local artist Eileen Bos
Sunday 10/12, Noon-3pm: Part I
We are so excited to host you for this brand new class with local artist Eileen Bos! Join is on this magical journey of sculpting and bringing to life a mythical woodland creature, as we touch on the history & folklore of the Greenman. Eileen will guide you in understanding how to work with polymer clay to soften, shape and form your Greenman face structure.
Once the face is formed, we will use molds of real leaves to replicate those leaves in polymer clay & apply them to the face, creating our Greenman.
NOTE: This is a class for all levels, including beginners! If anyone is needs extra support forming their basic face-shape, we will have a mold of a pre-made face form to help students fast forward to the next step!
At the finish of the class, Eileen will provide instructions for you to bring your Greenman home where you will bake in the ovens @ 275° for 30 minutes.
If you would like the option of painting your greenmail sculpture, the PART II class will be offered on Sunday 10/26, from Noon-2pm, for $60. See info here.
