Dynamic Dreams in Color: Paint & Transfer with Acrylics, Saturday 7/12 10AM -1:30PM with local artist Miranda Wildman
A workshop for creatives and artists of all levels!
Do you love vibrant palettes, playful shapes and semi-abstract art? In this workshop with local artist Miranda Wildman, you will learn to work with acrylic paints to create colorful layered compositions -adding an image that is meaningful to you right now. Miranda’s examples show various houses as her focus of interest, but your images will be personal to YOU.
Miranda will guide you in learning the basics of layering with acrylic paints in addition to the technique & basics of creating image transfers in your art. This will be a playful process in which you will learn how to create colorful scenes with depth, by layering with acrylic paints & using brush techniques to add texture and detail. You’ll be invited to explore color interactions to create a mood in your artwork & learn the art image transfer techniques to personalize your piece!
Miranda will provide gentle, creative guidance and all necessary materials, including acrylic paints, brushes, wood painting panels, image transfer supplies and surprise mixed media elements.
You will create art in a supportive + non-judgmental environment while connecting with fellow creatives and folks in your community, as you make art alongside each other.
*For your mage transfers: please bring a photograph on your phone or one that is printed out ahead of the class, and Miranda will have a copier/ printer on site that you will use to create your transfers.
