OUR STORIES ARE CONNECTED
Just before Helene flooded our street on September 28th, we were very fortunate to be able to remove 95% of the art works from our gallery. Though our space was flooded and destroyed, the outpouring of love and support has been truly incredible. Many have asked what they can do to support the artists and our arts community. Contributing to the RADA Helene Fund helps us to recover from the devastation and rebuild our beloved River Arts District ~ home to over 300 artists before the flood.
One of the most impactful things you can do, if you want to contribute on a personal level is to purchase a rescued piece of art- or one newly created- AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE HERE VIA OUR ON-LINE GALLERY.
We know how meaningful it is when someone who purchases a work of art is able to be part of the direct personal impact they are making on a local artist, by learning more about the artist or her story behind the art. There’ s often an unexpected and heartfelt connection that is later revealed. Through our new HeArt to Heart Initiative we will be sharing personal ways for you to learn more about the artist and/or the piece of art you love.
Your purchase makes an immediate difference- to our artists - many of whom have lost their working studios, art supplies, and other spaces that show their work. Every time one of our artists has a sale, all of the other artists cheer her on- which turns their loss into hope.
