Gelli Jam ~ A Gel Plate Printing Workshop: Sunday 5/17 , 1:00 PM- 4:30PM with local artist Michelle Hamilton

$125.00

Join us for a fun and playful Sunday afternoon workshop—colorful, whimsical, multi-layered, imperfect, and full of joy… just like Michelle!

This experience invites you to show up with curiosity, a love of color, and a willingness to try something new. In the first part of the workshop, Michelle will guide you through the art of creating gelli printed papers, helping you build your own unique collection of prints.

As your prints dry, you’ll transition into Part II—collage-making. Using your freshly created papers, you’ll begin transforming them into a vibrant mixed media collage. Michelle will share examples from her own work to help you visualize how papers can be cut, torn, layered, and combined to create dynamic compositions on a wood panel.

Experimentation, play, and imperfection are all highly encouraged as you explore the process and discover what your piece wants to become. You’ll have time to practice on sample backgrounds before moving on to your final 10 × 10 wood panel.

To finish, you’ll add the “gingerbread” (Michelle’s favorite part!)—embellishing your piece with Posca pens, gold Kuretake pens, and acrylic paint accents for those final, expressive touches.

All materials are included. No experience necessary—just come ready to play
